The city of Ushuaia is the capital of the Argentinean province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctic and South Atlantic Islands.
It is popularly known as the City at the End of the World, thanks to its southerly location. We recommend starting a tour of the city at the Port, which is the country's second most important after Buenos Aires. Follow this with a visit to the Plaza Cívica 12 de Octubre, which was created in honour of the Sub-prefecture of Ushuaia in 1884, the date when the city was official founded.
We also advise visits to the Museum at the End of the World (1903), the Ushuaia Maritime Museum, the Centenary Walk, the Falklands War Memorial. In the city it is possible to see many 19th century houses, found mainly in the city's old centre.
Furthermore, you can do many different sports here, such as fishing, trekking and skiing at Cerro Castor.
