Liege is a Belgian city close to the German border and 100 kilometres away from the capital, Brussles.
The old quarter is in Feronstrée, where you can see lots of historical landmarks, like the Place of the Bishop Princes, in Place Saint Lambert, the Church of Saint Barthelemy with its baptismal fonts, the Cathedral of Saint Paul, the Basilica od Saint Martin, the Church of Saint Jacques, Le Perron and the Town Hall.
Liege is also home to several museums, like the Museums of Wallonian Art, Contemporary Art, Religious Art and the Ansembourg Museum. There is also an archaeological site under Place Saint Lambert called the Archeoforum. You should also go and see the Stamp Cabinet, the Treasures of the Cathedral, the House of Science, the Museum of Public Transport, the Differentiated Art Museum, the Zoological Museum and the Museum of Wallonian Life.
If you love nature, visit the city?s parks and gardens, the real lungs of the town, and take a stroll along the banks of the river. The Sunday market of La Batte is on the riverside quays and has good beer gardens.
The best nightlife is in the central district of Le Carré. There is good accommodation available in the area. Come to Liege.
