Recife is the capital of Pernambuco State, in northeast Brazil. It is often referred to as the Brazilian Venice and the city?s carnival attracts countless visitors every year.
Its old quarter has buildings, fortresses and bridges that date back to the town?s Portuguese and Dutch colonial eras.
