Rousse is a city in Bulgaria. It lies on the banks of the Danube and is very close to the ancient Roman city of Giurgiu. Many call it the ?Pearl of the Danube?, and it is, undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful towns in Bulgaria.
A stroll around it will quickly reveal a good selection of monuments and historical buildings in different styles, such as Baroque, Renaissance and Imperial. You should also make a point of seeing the Chuch of the Holy Trinity (17th century) and the golden dome of the Pantheon of Heroes (1978).
Rousee also possesses plenty of museums, perhaps the best of which is the Transport and Communications Museum. Visitors to the city should make sure they don?t miss their chance to take a canoe trip on the Danube, one of the continent?s major rivers.
