The municipality of Montebello is in Papineau County, in western Quebec, Canada. Undoubtedly, one of the city?s main attractions is the Manoir Papineau National Historic Site, a place that was created to commemorate Louis-Joseph Papineau, one of the most important figures in 19th century Canadian politics. The site includes the stately house where the politician lived between 1848 and 1850.
Another popular sight is Le Chateau Montebello, which is now a hotel in the midst of a protected nature reserve. Visitors can engage in many activities, including golf, hiking and hunting.
