Rooms are in desperate need of refurishment, although are in very clean condition. Would certainly not rate the hotel of a 5 star standard, a 3 to 3.5 and that is all, although the grounds and pool areas are excellent.Hotel also needs to address the situation of being able to wear tailored shorts for evening meals, especially indside where the buffet section is. I can understand not being able to wear them in the La Fleur (French based restaurant), but where there is just a standard buffet I find this utterly ridiculous, especially when it is 25 degrees outside. Sure, do not allow beach wear / shorts, but proper tailored shorts with closed in shoes shoudl be allowed. The hotel might also want to make a note of this on their website, because I was lucky I had a pair of jeans with me, some others may not be so lucky !!!

This luxury hotel is located directly on the Nile on Crocodile Island, only 4 km south of Luxor city, which can be accessed via the courtesy shuttle bus. Luxor International Airport has recently been expanded, and lies some 14 km from the hotel, while the city centre and the main railway station are situated 4 km away. Sights such as the Karnak Temple, the West Bank, and the Valley of the Kings are located between 10 km and 18 km from this resort.

Arriving from the north, turn right after Luxor Traffic Station. Go straight ahead then take first right, then left from the conference centre in the direction of Nile Street, then continue straight to Awameya Road then finally turn right to find the hotel.

All standard rooms are comfortably equipped and tastefully decorated, and come with a private terrace with view of the gardens, an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, and a radio. A minibar, a small fridge, an iron, carpeting, a hire safe, and individually adjustable air conditioning and heating are also provided in all accommodation units as standard.

In the hotel grounds there are several swimming pools with a children's area as well as a poolside snack bar and sun loungers laid out ready for use. Sports enthusiasts may also enjoy a work-out in the gym. A entertainment programme for young and old rounds up the leisure facilities here. The Royal Valley golf course is about 18 km away.
