 Was difficult to find in the dark. We arrived at 22:30 and the place was not well lit. Eventually found reception but was closed. Determined that room key had been left with the security man at the entrance. Room was like an apatrment with separate lounge, bedroom, shower/bathroom, toilet and kitchen. Old chateau was very pleasant and breakfast was excellent. There is a small swimming pool which would have been nice to use, but had no time. The attached resaurant looked very nice but the prices for an evening meal were pretty pricey (glad we arrived at 22:30!!!!). Would have liked to have made a bit more of this hotel as it was definitely different, old chateau with modern attachment building.

This charming hotel enjoys a wonderful location just 10 minutes from the centre of Montpellier in the winegrowing region of the Languedoc. This popular hotel is also an ideal starting point for those wishing to visit the Cévennes and the Camargue regions. There are also excellent links to the A9 motorway and Montpellier Mediterranée Airport is 15 km away.

How to reach the Château from the A9 motorway... |All you have to do is follow the directions below to find the Château de Bionne: Take the \"Montpellier Sud\" exit. At the first roundabout follow signs for \"Mosson\" for 5.5 km. The dual carriageway becomes single at the exit for \"Hôpitaux-Facultés\". |After the SOMEDI sign, turn right in the direction of \"La Martelle\". Turn left at the STOP sign. At the lights, cross the Avenue de la Liberté and immediately take the service road on the right opposite the LIDL store. At the STOP sign take the rue de Bionne directly ahead. Carry on straight ahead leaving Montpellier. The Château is 800m further on.

In the Château's old orangery situated below the property, the restaurant Le Grand Arbre extends to include a sun terrace with views of the swimming pool.
