 A very good experince. A good location for touring Normandy. Extremely professional staff who were however stretched to breaking point by an intense work load. Another person or 2 are needed for the restaurant and bar,which was essentially unmanned. However the quality of the staff was such as to compensate for undermanning by working very fast.There was no English channel on the television, and there was only a bath but no shower.
 

Hotel description

The country house hotel is pleasant and modern, and enjoys a quiet setting surrounded by a water garden and lush green trees. The establishment offers 55 very comfortable rooms, two restaurants and a terrace with a superb view of the famous cathedral of Coutances. Further facilities on offer to guests include a 24-hour check-out service, a bar, conference facilities and Internet access. For an additional fee, guests may also take advantage of the room and laundry services and there is parking for those arriving by car.

Emplacement

The hotel is located on the edge of the medieval hilltop town of Coutances and is only 15 minutes from delightful fine sandy beaches at Agon Coutainville. It is within easy reach of Normandy's many famous sites such as Mont Saint-Michel, the D-Day landing beaches, the Bayeux tapestry, the Peace Museum in Caen or the Channel Islands. The Cotentin peninsula also harbours some remarkable historical sites (churches, abbeys) and exceptional protected nature reserves (Regional Natural Reserve of Cotentin and the Bessin swamps, Tatihou Island and coastal paths).

Guests will require 3 hours and 30 minutes to reach the hotel from Paris by the A13 and A84 motorways (335 km). From Paris, take exit 40 on the A84 motorway, towards Saint-Lô - Coutances. By train: Coutances railway station is only 2 km from our hotel.
