Mainz is the capital city of the federal state of the Rhine-Palatinate, in south-west Germany. It is one of the country?s main ports, and the place where Gutenberg invented the printing press.
Mainz has a lot for people of all tastes to see and do. We recommend visiting Saint Martin?s Cathedral, the Palace of the Princes Electors, the Church of Saint Stephen (built in 990), and the municipal park.
