Renovated in 2001, this hotel features 34 rooms spread between 19 cottages. The fully air-conditioned hotel offers access to various facilities including a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a lounge area, antique and traditional artefacts as well as a safe. The hotel also has its own café, a small supermarket (which sells, among other things, Cretan wine, ouzo, honey and olive oil), various shops, which offer hand-made Cretan souvenirs and jewellers, a bar, a museum and two originally equipped Cretan houses, a TV room and a restaurant with a breakfast room as well as a tavern (where guests will find regular Cretan evenings, christenings and weddings). There is also a car park for guests arriving by car.

The traditional, tastefully furnished and spacious rooms come with en suite bathroom facilities, a direct dial telephone, air conditioning (individually regulated), heating, a fridge and a balcony. In addition, it is possible to request a foldout bed. Some rooms feature an open fireplace (wood included).

This, along with the wild carob trees, the lentisks, the gorse, the vineyards and olive groves of Crete constitute a picture of Arolithos. It is a village with cobbled streets and with houses, which have tiled roofs and terrace. Its architecture is genuine Cretan whilst the materials are also genuine old. Arolithos reminds our visitors how Crete was several years ago.In the village work some genuine craftsmen and Cretan artisans, such us the ironsmith, the potter, the weavers etc...
