Kos, or Cos, is an island in the Dodecanese archipelago, in the Aegean Sea. It is a fertile island with a pleasant climate and lovely sandy beaches, some of which have black volcanic sand.
Most of the cultural attractions and places of interest are in the town of Kos, which is the biggest on the island and its capital.
