  Positive reviews about the hotel: The customer service given to you by all the staff at the hotel is second to none, you would struggle to get that kind of service and kindness in a top quality hotel in Mayfair!   Negative reviews about the hotel: None   Things to do near the hotel: Too many to mention   Other reviews: Spot on weekend

  Positive reviews about the hotel: Staff very friendly and very helpful. English was spoken by several staff members which helped us tremendously as we know no Hungarian. The meals we had there were excellent and again staff were excellent. The location of the hotel is superb and very quiet and peaceful. It was a pleasure to stay there and will do so again.   Negative reviews about the hotel: None   Things to do near the hotel: There are several bars and restaurants along the banks of the river so plenty of choice for evening entertainment (live music at several of them). For those who like walking there is plenty of walking available. Also during summer you can catch a boat to the centre of Budapest or a 20 min walk to the train. There is also a public recreation park and swimming pool a few minutes walk from the hotel.   Other reviews: One staff member was particularly helpful in telling us the places to see and visit which made our stay very special.

  Other reviews: Very poor breakfast, old bread etc. till a group arrived and it completely changed. No redtaurant , no bar roomservice when they were not to busy with internet..One day the room was not cleaned!. Not allowed to smokealthough no signs are there. Poor tourist information, half hour walk from the 1st. decent public transport. They claim to be a 4* hotel but that's to much. The experience from me is no more than 2*.
 

Hotel description

The hotel is a 40-room establishment reconstructed from a Russian paddle-wheeled steamboat built at the beginning of the 1900s. Besides the rooms, the boat hotel, moored on virtually the only intact Danube bank in Budapest, also welcomes its guests with a restaurant and a cafeteria. Further facilities include a reception area with a 24-hour service, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, restaurant, bar, conference rooms and Internet access. Room and laundry services are available. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the city centre.
