  Positive reviews about the hotel: Very nice helpful friendly staff Gorgeous pool and good setting close to the beach and in a quiet area   Negative reviews about the hotel: The gym is tiny. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide choice including healthy options Lunches were disappointing   Things to do near the hotel: Beach You can walk to several restaurants Visit Albufeira

  Positive reviews about the hotel: The hotel is on the outskirts of Albufiera, and, provided you have a car is easily accessible from the airport and activities such as Aqualand etc. The hotel has a really lovely, sheltered beach which is private and great for children. The rooms are very large and spacious, particularly good for families.   Negative reviews about the hotel: Don't go after 1st November - the beach facilities are closed and there is little to do at the hotel itself. Most of the local attractions are also closed (Aqualand, Zoo Marine etc.) You need to buy a swimhat for the indoor pool   Things to do near the hotel: Aqualand, Zoo Marine, Surfn'Splash - ALL ONLY IN THE SUMMER
 

Hotel description

Opened in 2005, this luxurious complex comprises a 4-storey building with a total of 101 accommodation units set in 100,000 m² of grounds. Guests may make use of the foyer with 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange desk, a lift, a café, a newspaper stand and a small supermarket. In the main building there is a bar and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with highchairs for infants and a conference room and public Internet terminal with WLAN Internet access are on offer. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car park or garage facilities and room, laundry and medical services round off the facilities on offer. There is a kids' club for those aged from 5 years of age.

Emplacement

This elegant luxury class complex is located in the most beautiful natural surrounds on the Algarve, directly beside the beach. Both elegance and luxury are on offer to guests who will be able to enjoy and relaxing yet entertaining holiday here. The airport is some 35 km away, the centre of Albufeira about 5 km and São Rafael Beach just 500 m from the hotel. Links to the public transport network lie directly in front of the hotel, bars, pubs and nightclubs some 800 m away, restaurants 300 m and the nearest shopping venues, approximately 3 km from the complex.

Leave Faro airport exit into dual carriageway, take the N125 road for 2 km direction PORTIMÃO/ LAGOS (exit on the right, around and underneath carriageway). Drive through for 5 km, direction A22 motorway. Once on the motorway, drive for 22 km and take the exit on your right towards ALBUFEIRA/ Guia. Drive pass the turn to Guia on your right, keep on the right side of the road for 1,5 km and drive down in direction ALBUFEIRA/Ferreiras. At the roundabout, turn right towards Albufeira and drive for 4 km, drive through a second roundabout until a third roundabout (check the Hotel blue sign). At this roundabout, turn right and drive along the dual carriageway, drive through 2 roundabouts until sign on your left towards SÃO RAFAEL. Drive across the dual carriageway, pass an old house on the left, take the first turn on your right and drive uphill (check the Hotel blue sign). Once on the top, the Hotel is on your left side, after a crossroad on the left.

Each of the comfortable studios and apartments comes with combined bedroom/ lounge, a bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, a kitchenette, a minibar, tiling, air conditioning, central heating, a hire safe and a balcony. The rooms are cleaned by hotel staff on guests' departure. A toaster and a coffee machine are available on request and all of the apartments additionally come with a separate bedroom and are surrounded by well-kept gardens.

Guests may take advantage of the freshwater swimming pool with children's pool in the outdoor complex as well as the pool/ snack bar, sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use, water aerobics, sauna, steam bath and massage service. Leisure options include 4 hard tennis courts (2 of which have floodlighting), table tennis, a gym, horse riding, mountain biking, basketball, beach volleyball and a football pitch. Furthermore, there is a seasonal entertainment programme, a show tent and a creative workshop to provide some variation for guests. The nearest golf course is about 2 km away.
