  Other reviews: The Kris Consul Del Mar Hotel was fabulous! A very relaxed hotel with friendly, helpful staff and great facilities. The hotel is within easy walking distance from the city centre and the City of the Arts and Sciences, along with beautiful parks, great restaurants and lively bars. The room we had was quite spacious and very pretty, with a king-size bed and a nice balcony, and a very clean bathroom. We were also offered a smoking or non-smoking room. The pool was of a good size and very well presented, and the sauna was also a pleasant experience! We are a couple in our 20's and the Consul Del Mar was perfect for our romantic get-away. The only downside at all was that it was a very long walk to the beach, but we knew this and sacraficed the beach for the city, it took us around 40 minutes to walk to it and we're quite fit, the hotel booked a taxi for us to get there one evening which was only around 6 euros - and it was well worth it!

This city hotel has been completely renovated with consideration taken of all of the original architectural features and comprises a total of 57 rooms spread over 3 floors. Facilities include a foyer, a 24-hour reception, a safe, a lift, a café, a breakfast room, a hairdresser's salon and a TV room. Business guests may make use of the public Internet terminal and the conference room and those arriving by car may make use of the hotel car park. There is a laundry service, medical assistance and room service available on request.

Ideally located for both holidaymakers and business visitors to a city in which visitors may enjoy a day on the beach or go on cultural excursions. It is located on a main road at the heart of Valencia. The Palau de la Música is just 300 m away, the Cuidad de las Artes & las Ciencias (art and science district) can also be found in the vicinity. The sea as well as the nearest railway station are around 1.5 km away. A nightclub, restaurants, bars, pubs and shopping venues are all within a few steps of the hotel.
