 I chose this hotel because it was the site of the conference I attended. I feel I could have had more value for money elsewhere. Price should have included breakfast.The hotel feels very 'institutional', very expensive and over-rated. I would not choose to go there again. Charging people different prices for foot with respect to where they eate their food (outside or inside) I think is inadvisable. £17.50 for a contenental breakfast was absurdly expensive given that I have paid almost £700.00 for a 3* room. Only discernable advantage price waise in using easy jet hotels was that the price included the local tax, whereas it didn't on the hotel site. Disappointed - wished I had taken another hotel and travelled in. The hotel provided a 'superior' room and you had to walk through the bathroom/toilet to get to the bedroom... oddness marketed as innovative architecture - not impressed. My choice - so no one else to blame!

The hotel is innovative in every way. The listed national monument, dating from 1921, has been converted into a hotel, and is now a true showcase for Dutch architecture and design. It offers various services in communal spaces. Situated above the restaurant it informs guests and interested parties on topics such as art, culture and cultural projects. By virtue of its sheer size, its unusual range of spaces and its innovative design features, the hotel lends itself also very well to functions and business meetings. It has (paid) parking facilities and is easily accessible by (private) boat with charge. The full menu is available in your room with the 24h room service.

The hotel is situated at the edge of the city centre in the fashionable Eastern Docklands at only 5 min distance by fast tram from the Central Station. It is easily accessible by boat. The Eastern Docklands area is awash with fascinating cultural, architectural and shopping highlights. Many of Amsterdam's cultural hotspots can be found in the area of the Lloyd Hotel, including the brand new concerthall; Muziekgebouw, Holland's biggest jazz club and Amsterdam's Modern Art Museum: Stedelijk CS.

For the bathrooms came up with remarkable solutions, some rooms have incredible fold-away bathrooms while others are brightly coloured and are in the middle of the room. Superior-exceptional: beautiful, spacious rooms with an exceptional interior. There is a mix of modern and classic furniture. Deluxe-amazing: these rooms will surprise even the well-travelled guest. These rooms are huge.
