 Fantastic stay and we had a wonderul time. The only sight issue was the cost of the resturant and drinks we felt these were slightly too expensive. Overall wonderful.
 

Hotel description

Converted from an old historical mansion into an elegant and prestigious hotel, the hotel offers its guest the magnificent Uguccione Hall with a fireplace - an ideal place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea. Opened and renovated in 2003, this hotel offers a total of 21 rooms on 3 floors, including 2 suites, 3 junior suites and 2 wheelchair-accessible rooms. The air-conditioned hotel is on a main street and has a garden, a 24-hour reception, a safe with charge and a lift. Further facilities include a bar, a café, a restaurant and WLAN with charge. Guests may also make use of the in-house laundry and room services (fees apply). Also available at this hotel are a car park and a garage (charges apply).

The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Pisa, just a stone's throw from the most beautiful squares in Pisa: Piazza dei Miracoli and Piazza dei Cavalieri. It is located in the heart of the university campus, only some 2 minutes walk from Lungarno promenade by the river Arno, where there are many museums and architectural highlights such as the beautiful church of Santa Maria della Spina. In a sloping square near the sea is the Romanesque church of San Piero a Grado and the Certosa di Calci. The impressive city walls of Lucca, the fashionable Versilia and lively Livorno are all less than 30 minutes away by car, making this the ideal base for tourists with varied interests. A public transport stop can be found in the hotel's immediately vicinity. Guglielmo Marconi airport is roughly 180 km away, whilst Galileo Galilei airport is only 6 km from the hotel.
