 Great service on front desk - very helpful and informative  Not great that book in policy isnt until 3pm, although the helpful guys on reception did let us know when it was ready sooner Cold breakfast! Grumpy waitress!

 A very comfortable and clean room. Obliging staff, particularly on reception. We had a car and were able to park in a secure area.  Room on the small side for two people with large suitcases. We were sorry we had not booked directly through the hotel and paid more so that we could have had more space.  Conan Doyle's museum. Royal Mile and astle, a 10 to 15 min. walk away. Exellent restaurant on the Royal Mile alled Albanahe.

Emplacement

This hotel lies in Edinburgh's old town and is only a couple of steps away from Princes Street. It offers guests an ideal starting point to explore the many sightseeing attractions, the shops and the boutiques. Edinburgh castle and Holyrood as well as the Scottish Parliament are all around 800 m away from the hotel. In addition, all the other main attractions are within walking distance. The financial and shopping districts are around 10 minutes away or a short taxi drive. Edinburgh offers excellent transport connections to all the important Scottish airports as well as the borders and the highlands.

Follow the signs to Edinburgh from the airport. Take a right onto the A8. Take the underpass and continue towards the city centre. Turn right at the Caledonian Hotel and then the first left onto King Stables Road. Follow on to the end of the street and take a left. Take a further left onto Victoria Street, then a right and then the first left onto Chambers Street. Follow on to the end of the street and take a right. Continue a further 800m and take a left straight on to the Festival Theatre on the hotel square.
