 After booking and paying for this hotel in March, 3 months prior to staying there, we were greeted by Sorry we are over booked and do not have a room available for you. We also had arrived by 08.30am. After standing our ground they relented and a room became available and was even ready for immediate occupation! (Just moments before we had been told that none of the rooms were ready.) This is not the first time we have had problems with Best Western hotels and we shall not be using this chain of hotels again in the future and will certainly not recommending them to others. Complaint has been sent to hotelopia already. December 2007 Nuremberg with Best Western - booked 3 doubles on arrival 6 singles given!!! Need I say more!

Hotel description

The city hotel was renovated in 2007 and comprises a total of 285 rooms spread over 7 floors. Facilities include: a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, lift access and room and laundry services, as well as 2 restaurants, a bar and a games room. There is also a business centre and state of the art conference facilities for up to 100 people.

Emplacement

This hotel is superbly located in the centre of the city, near to Dublin's famous O'Connell Street where the spectacular Spire can be found. Many shops and attractions are just a short walk away. The new LUAS tram system is just 3 minutes away and 2 mainline stations are within easy reach. The Dublin city tour starts and ends just across the road from the hotel and the airport link service stops right outside on O'Connell Street. The airport can be reached in approximately 20 minutes.

All rooms are modern and luxurious and decorated to a high standard. Rooms include: air conditioning, super-comfort beds, a flat screen interactive TV, complimentary wireless Internet and a safe. An en suite bathroom, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board and individually adjustable air conditioning and heating also come as standard.
