 room spacious powerful shower very relaxing breakfasts with sufficent,well trained staff  interior design of bar poor limited seating in bar  lots to do in malihide whih is within walking distane from hotel

The hotel has incorporated the old house into the new building and comprises a total of 137 bedrooms, overlooking the sea on one side and with garden/ golf course views on the other side. Facilities on offer at this historical beachside golf hotel include air conditioning, a lobby area with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom, a lift, a cafe, a bar and a restaurant. Conference facilities, Internet access with WLAN access points, room and laundry services and a car park are also on hand.

Emplacement

This luxury hotel is situated in some of Dublin's most beautiful surroundings, fronting onto the sandy beach and overlooking the Irish Sea. The hotel is only about 30 minutes from the city centre and is housed in the tastefully converted old family home of the Jameson's, made famous by their Irish whiskey business. The centre of Portmarnock, with its nightclub, station and beach, is 5 minutes away by car and it is a 10-minute drive to Malahide, where guests will find shops, bars and restaurants. Dublin airport is around 8 km from the hotel.

To Portmarnock from Dublin city centre: drive over O'Connell Bridge from Westmoreland Street and take an immediate right. Drive along the Quays for approximately 250 m. At the first set of traffic lights take a left, but move into the right lane. Drive under the bridge and at the Y junction immediately in front take a left onto Amiens Street. Drive straight ahead. Continue along North Strand Road, and straight ahead onto Clontarf Road. Drive straight along Clontarf road for approximately 8 km. Take a left turn for Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links (clearly signposted). Continue through Baldoyle, past the church on right hand side and straight on towards Portmarnock. Follow the signs to Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links. As guests drive through the village they will see a row of houses on the left on an incline and at the top of the incline the hotel gates will come into view on the right.

The hotel's own Golf Links, designed Bernhard Langer, is a championship course which makes full use of the surrounding dunes and natural terrain to provide a layout that will please the most ardent of golf fans.
