Abruzzo is a region in central Italy whose coastline is on the Adriatic Sea.
It is a mountainous region that is home to the highest peaks in the Apennine Mountains, Gran Sasso, as well as the Maiella range. It has a narrow coastal plain and several nature reserves and national parks.
Abruzzo is composed of four provinces: L?Aquila, (the capital), Chieti, Pescara, and Teramo.
In winter you can try your hand at skiing and snowboarding in the region?s excellent facilities. There are also lots of things to do in the summer, especially for nature lovers. Abruzzo has good national parks, lakes Penne and Scanno, which are wildlife havens sponsored by the WWF, the sulphur springs of Lavino, some lovely river valleys and, of course, the excellent beaches on the Adriatic. We recommend visiting the region?s churches, abbeys, medieval castles and archaeological sites that are testament to the pastoral background of Abruzzo. Visit the Sanctuary of Ercole Curino and the towns of Campovalano and Schiavi de Abruzzo. Discover the Roman legacy in Alba Fucens and the museums of Campli and Chieti. Don?t forget to go and see the antiques shops of Corfinio and Sulmona.

Only 500 m away, it is possible to find the dock from which there are ferry connections to Croatia and Tremiti Islands. Moreover, the hotel is near the old part of the city, where guests can visit the former homes of Gabriele D'Annunzio and Ennio Flaiano or enjoy shopping along Viale Marconi, filled with a variety of lovely shops. There is a bus stop just in front of the hotel, and the train station is about 2 km away.
Situated in a summer resort, the hotel has easy access to 10 km of beach, the modern tourist harbour, and the mountains of Maiella and Gransasso with their renowned national parks. The hotel lies in the tourist and commercial centre of Pescara, 250 m from the railway station, and 300 m from the beach. Sights such as the Modern Art Museum (350 m), the Sea Museum (1.5 km), the Art Gallery (1.5 km) and the Historical Abruzzo Museum (1 km) are all in the near vicinity. The hotel is well connected to the A14 and A25 motorways and the local airport is 4 km from the hotel.
