Capri is a very popular Italian island, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples.
The island enjoys an excellent climate and it is a place much visited by international celebrities. The most important urban centres are Capri, with two ports (Marina Piccola and Marina Grande) and the commune of Anacapri, located high in the hills. The Piazzetta is the main meeting point on the island. The greatest attraction in Capri is the amazing Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), which can only be reached by boat. You will need to duck to go through the natural stone arches to access a magic world of blue reflections.
Another attraction is Villa Tiberio, with the ruins of the Emperor Tiberius's palace, the Garden of Augustus, the Villa Axel Munthe, the Certosa di San Giacomo, the Church of St. Costanzo and Barbarossa Castle. Go to see the three majestic faraglioni of Capri and the cliffs in Punta Carena.
Via Vittorio Emanuelle includes top-quality shops and restaurants. There are also narrow alleys with white medieval homes that create a beautiful snapshot. Have a coffee on a terrace with a view of the Mediterranean; it will be a moment to treasure in your mind forever.
