on 4th floor with no lift. hotel very central for all tourist sites.

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel, however there are some points to be taken into account if you are thinking of booking it. If you have any mobility problems at all or have trouble with stairs then this is not the hotel for you as there is no lift and the stairs are very steep. Also if you have young children travelling with you this may be a problem. This hotel is very good for the price, it is very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful, all having a very good grasp of English and will help you to learn some Itallian too. It is mainly suitable for young couples, or friends travelling together. The hotel is situated a very short walk from the Spagna metro station, which is very handy from Ciampino airport - From the airport you need to get the bus from the line A stop - it costs E1.20. You then get of at Anangina (just 1 stop) and get straight on the Metro to Spagna it costs E1.00. The journey takes about 45 mins all together and is very easy.

This city hotel is a little jewel in the centre of Rome, in Piazza di Spagna. Opened in May 2006, in a building first erected in 1300, it offers guests an excellent choice of 17 elegant, impeccably appointed rooms and suites, sleeping from 1 to 3 people. Guests will feel very much at home in the hotel's magnificent surroundings. It is air-conditioned and facilities include an entrance hall, 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a breakfast room and a laundry service. Due to the age of the building there is no lift access, but the stairs allow guests to reach their rooms with ease.

The hotel is located in the exclusive area around the Spanish Steps, just a few minutes' walk from one of the most imposing and unique plazas in the world. The Italian and French fashion shops provide guests with an elegant setting in which to spend their free time, right on their doorstep. Many of the city's major attractions are within easy walking distance, including the Trevi fountain (around 7 minutes away), the Piazza del Popolo (some 5 minutes away), the Colosseum (around 20 minutes away) and St. Peter's (about half an hour from the hotel).

From Termini Station guests can take the metro line A towards Battistini Terminal and after 3 stops get off at Spagna station. On leaving the train guests will be struck by the splendour of the Spanish Steps and from there should take Via Condotti followed by the next left, Via Mario Dè Fiori and walk for 100 metres until they find the hotel at number 11 on the same street, on the corner where it meets Via Borgognona.
