very nice hotel / bed and breakfast. it is a distance from the centre of Rome, approx 15/20 mins taxi ride . costing 15/20 euros, public transport very easy to get on with, 1 euro , which also includes hopping onto tram/metro, freindly hotel would stay there again.

Hotel description

Up until the year 1920, the hotel formed part of a family-run farm and even today retains a rustic ambience. Renovated in 2005, the hotel comprises a total of 46 air-conditioned rooms spread over 2 floors. Trees and gardens surround the hotel and create a tranquil, homely setting. Facilities include a terrace, a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe and a lift in addition to a bar, a TV room, a breakfast room and Internet access (free ASDL WiFi in all rooms). There are room and laundry services to take advantage (with charge) of as well as a large, free car park.

The hotel is located near an ancient Roman site overlooking the Parco dell'Appia Antica, between the EUR and the Cristoforo Colombo road, near the 19th century palace, the Nuova Fiera di Roma. The Vatican, the Colosseum and the city centre all lie between 7 km and 10 km from the hotel and it is a short walk to a diverse array of restaurants, shops and links to the public transport network. Rome's 2 airport lie within easy reach of the hotel.

Guests may easily reach the hotel by car. From the GRA ring road, take exit 24 (Via Ardeatina) in the direction of the city centre and follow the signs for PANORAMA. After 2 km, there is a set of traffic lights. Continue over this, then turn left onto Via Grotta Perfetta after around 1 km. The hotel is located at number 551 along this road.
