With 986 rooms in two wings (the Main Building, and the newer South Wing) the hotel is Kyoto's largest hotel, and one of its most convenient and practical ones. The hotel's 3 restaurants, a café, lounge and bar, are complemented by a wide range of restaurants and a department store in the spectacular new Kyoto Station complex opposite.

Within walking distance of the Honganji Temples, the hotel is also just a 5 minute walk from the Kyoto Station Bus Terminal from where a cheap and regular local bus service fans out across the city giving easy access to every major sightseeing attraction in Kyoto.
