The exclusive modern beach hotel complex was built by the famous Mexican architect Fernando Quiriarte, inspired by the Puuc Mayan period, and comprises a total of 630 rooms. Facilities on offer at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, lift access and a currency exchange counter. In addition, there are some shops, 7 bars, a nightclub, and a theatre auditorium as well as 5 restaurants. This hotel is located amidst tropical vegetation and beside a kilometre-long untouched sandy beach on the Mayan Riviera with a protective coral reef. The centre of Akumal is about 3.5 km away and offers a range of shops and entertainment. The tourist area of Tulum is about 15 km from the hotel. Both Xel-ha and Xcaret theme parks are 15 minutes and 35 minutes from the hotel respectively. Car rental is available nearby. Playa del Carmen is 35 km away and Cancún Airport is 60 min away.

Guests arriving from the airport should drive towards Chetumal and stay on the same road. The hotel lies at km 250. The Hacienda Doña Isabel and a sign for the hotel can be seen from the road. It is also possible to reach the hotel by bus or taxi from the airport.
