2nd visit as booked with 3-5 Sept 2008 visit .See previous report where I forgot to mention that my daughter had to move rooms as when she returned to her room after dinner, water flowing down wall over electric switches. Staff strived valiantly to overcome the difficulties of a hotel only open 3 days, builders and 'snaggers' still in evidence. Staff excelled in their efforts but not enough staff -management admitted recruitment problems. We stayed 3-5 9 08 & 7-10 9 08. Problems with 2 day visit resulted in upgrade to 2 suites for 3 day visit but housekeeping not 100 % Dinner 3.5.08 Plate & veg cold1hour20min wait for 1st course 2hrs 20min to serve main &deserttranslation problems on menuselection of ice cream & sorbets became ice cream & summer fruits on serving.We learned that plate warming equipment is awaiting delivery and installation. Complained & dinner second night courtesy of hotel.Coach parties are A BIG PROBLEM. Sister hotel on same site is Holiday Inn Express and their guests use facilities at BWP. It seems Best Western Premier is managed on the same basis. The coach parties monopolise, come in vast numbers up to 10 p.m. causing disruption. Coach parties at breakfast are a nightmare and empty the buffet, tables not cleared [not enough staff but as before they try valiantly]. Management need to decide whether Best Western Premier is rebranded to sister hotel standards. Due to coach parties WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO THE INDIVIDUAL TRAVELLER. NOT A LOT- INDUSTRIAL SURROUNDINGS IN OUT OF TOWN LOCATION-WORKSHOPS ON SAME SITE. Taxi needed to get entral Krakow square [whih is SUPERB] but most taxis were sruffy and smelly.

Emplacement

This hotel is located in the northern part of city, 500 metres from links to the public transport network and 3 km from shopping venues. It lies just 15 minutes away by public transport from the centre, where guests will find restaurants, bars, nightspots and the tourist centre.

Guests arriving by car from Balice Airport should take the A4 highway towards Krakow North. At Ofiar Katynia roundabout, take the 2nd exit out along J. Conrada street, along Opolska Street. The hotel is on the left-hand side. Those coming from Warsaw on the E77 should follow signs to Krakow Centre and turn into the Al.29. Continue to Listopada Street, turn right into Opolska Street and the hotel is on the right-hand side. Guests coming from Katowice on the A4 should head for Krakow North. At the Ofiar Katynia roundabout take the 2nd exit along J. Conrada Street. Continue along Opolska Street and the hotel is on the left-hand side.
