 MY HUSBAND WAS TAKEN ILL DURING A GOLFING HOLIDAY WITH FRIENDS AND TAKEN TO FARO HOSPITAL. I HAD TO FLY TO FARO AND TAKE HIM HOME. I BOOKED INTO THE FARO HOTEL AND FOUND THE STAFF EXCELLENT ESPECIALLY SYMPATHETIC KNOWING THAT I WAS IN A STRESSFULL SITUATION. I COULDN'T HAVE FOUND BETTER HELP FROM THE STAFF ANYWHERE. THE RECEPTIONIST WERE WONDERFUL. ALL THE STAFF WERE HELPFUL, CHAMBER MAIDS, WAITERS, BOTH MALE AND FEMAIL, ALL KIND AND HELPFUL. A BIG 'THANK YOU' TO THEM ALL

 had a great time, location was very good, people very friendly and nice. travelled with a 5 months old baby, it went very smoothly as staff was very understanding.
 

Hotel description

The hotel was established in 2002 and consists of 90 double rooms including 3 suites spread across four floors. There is a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, a safe and a lift. The hotel is superbly equipped with an air-conditioned à la carte panoramic restaurant on the 4th. floor , WLAN Internet access and conference facilities. In addition there are room and laundry services as well as medical assistance available. A bicycle storage facility with bicycle hire as well as a car park and a garage are also available.

Emplacement

This hotel lies at the heart of Faro, some 50 m from the marina and the historical part of the city. There are scores of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as a connection to the public transport network in the surrounding area. The railway station is approximately 800 m away, and it is 9 km to the nearest beach and 7 Kms. to the airport.

From Faro airport: follow the main road in the direction of the centre. After about 4 km, there are two roundabouts; turn right at the second one and follow the signs towards the beach. The hotel is located there, in the Praca D, Francisco Gomes, in front of the marina.

This daily shuttle boat has several departing hours during the day.
