 Last year we were given rooms in the "newer" part so they were OK as far as quality price were concedrned. The staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and it was a very pleasant stay. That's why I recommended the hotel to various friends from England who went to the hotel twice this year and my friends and and I returned this year as well. I like the situation and there is a lot going for it - with improvements.  This year we were given rooms in the "old" part of the hotel bathrooms had not been renovated since I stayed there in 1968!!!!!!! The bidet leaked water onto the floor every time I ran the tap into it; the one room (310) was not cleaned at all on Sept. 22; and the bath towels given to me in room 309 both had holes in them they were so threadbare. Breakfasts are not up to standard at all.  This should be in English and not Duth. I presume this means reservations. That was perfet as I booked through Easy Jet.

 Part of the reception staff fantastically helpful and professional while remainder of reception staff were unprofessional, slow in responding and not particularly helpful. Sheets were only changed once every four days which is not satisfactory. The barman was very unpleasant, unprofessional and unhelpful - very bad service in this respect. breakfast was very good as was the view from the terrace.
 

Hotel description

It was originally built in 1968 and in 1993 underwent major renovations with an addition of 60 rooms. The hotel currently has a total of 103 rooms, five of which are large, triple rooms. The hotel lobby area offers free wireless internet and also public internet access with a fee, as well as 24 hour reception area. In addition, it has a café, a bar, a breakfast room, TV room and games room. Guests arriving by car may make use of the car park and car and bicycle hire is also offered.

Emplacement

This hotel is situated in the tourist centre of Lagos, just 50 m from Dona Ana beach. The picturesque town centre, with its numerous shopping venues, bars and restaurants, is around 1.5 km from the hotel. There is a bus stop located 300 m the hotel and the transfer time to Faro airport takes around 45 minutes.

From Faro airport please take the following route:|Get the A22 road in direction to Portimão / Lagos. After 80 km you leave on the last exit that says Lagos/Vila do Bispo, go straigth ahead pass the 1st round abound and on the second round abound turn left direction Lagos. Another round abound and follow straigh away, pass the traffic lights and you will find an artistic round abound with a Big Box and a Ball, turn right and you will find a small round abound with a sulpture (flower), turn left and on the end of the street turn right, follow staight ahead and turn on the first left to the Praia D. Ana. You will find the hotel once you reach the beach on your left side.||

In-house facilities include a small swimming pool with a sun terrace, sun loungers, parasols and a snack bar. It also offers its own gym for guests to use, the opportunity to unwind with a massage and use the gym (additional fees apply). Further sports facilities include table tennis and billiards (for an added fee) or sailing. The entertainment programme rounds off the activities on offer.
