Renovated in 2006, the hotel consists of 2 towers, the Peninsula Tower and Excelsior Tower, with most of the 577 rooms overlooking either the harbour, the Singapore River, Clarke Quay and/or the Fort Canning Hill. The Lobby Lounge, which connects the two towers, sits adjacent to one of the outdoor pools - with only a glass wall separating the swimmers from those enjoying a drink in the lounge. Further facilities include a 24-hour reception with a safe, a currency exchange and a lift. In addition, guests are provided with a café, a business centre with a private meeting room, function rooms, a restaurant, laundry and dry cleaning, as well as baby-sitting. Parking is also available for those arriving by car.
