The hotel was designed and built in 2007 by Rafael Moneo, one of Spain's top award-winning architects, the designer of the Thyssen Museum's extension in Madrid and London's Tate Gallery. This design hotel was conceived to provide roomy, light-filled spaces, its highlights include avant-garde interiors using basalt, glass, black and white lacquers and concrete, and exteriors featuring materials such as stainless steel, glass and Roman travertine stone. This establishment comprises 300 rooms, 6 of which are connecting rooms - ideal for families - as well as a main 2 bedroom suite and 7 junior suites. Further facilities at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom, lift access and a café, as well as a bar, a TV lounge, a restaurant, conference facilities and Internet access with WLAN. Guests are also invited to take advantage of the room, laundry and bicycle hire services. There is a car park and a garage available for those arriving by car.

The modern layout of the rooms blends perfectly with all the elements required to ensure the most pleasant and comfortable of stays. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool and a solarium. The new Elysium Spa is opened with sauna and massage lounge. Children under 14 years old have a limited access to the Spa. They are allowed to enter between 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m and always with an adult.
