Costa Blanca is a tourist destination in the province of Alicante, on Spain?s Mediterranean coast. It runs from Denia down to Pilar de la Horadada: over 244 kilometres of excellent beaches, beautiful coves and spectacular cliffs. This is the ideal place to do some sport, visit interesting monuments and savour the splendour of nature. The tourism infrastructure and the nightlife are both excellent and varied. Sailing close to the coast is a real treat for the eyes, and sampling the excellent cuisine of Alicante is a treat for the taste buds. There is good Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance art to be seen in Orihuela, nature reserves in Font Roja, Marjal de Pego, Montgó and Sierra Mariola; salt marshes in Santa Pola, lagoons in Mata and Torrevieja, Fondó and Peñón de Ifach.
You can do some serious hiking in the Sierra de Bernia, swim in the waters off Guardamar del Segura, visit the Elx palm tree forest, sail from Santa Pola to the island of Tabarca and explore the lovely coastal towns of Dénia, Jávea, Teulada, Moraira, Calpe, Altea and Villa Joiosa.
