+~The hotel is in an excellent location to access the Port Aventura Theme Park this enables you to return to the hotel for a short respite. The hotel does offer a good range of on site facilities although we didn't take advantage of these as we were only there for one full day and spent our time in the Theme Park and also at the Beach Club. The Express Pass provided for a number of the rides were a real plus point! We only had to queue for 2 or 3 rides all day which was absolutely fantastic. The Beach Club, accessed via a short hotel shuttle bus ride, is also a real gem. It is a haven of tranquility, with 7 pools and stunning views. It is definitely a MUST do! /#/-~We stayed at the Port Aventura Hotel for 1 night, following a 3 night stay at a 4* hotel in Barcelona City. In our view our room was not a 4* standard and although the bedroom is air conditioned the communal areas of the hotel are not and in August they are extremely hot and humid! The Breakfast buffet was definitely not 4* quality - there was plenty of food availlable but quality was lacking! Breakfast is also totally self service, including the hot drinks which are served from large urns,more akin to a Butlins holiday camp, not a 4*hotel!/#/c~Port Aventura Theme Park, Caribe Aquatic Park, Beach Club, Salou/#/

  This hotel is situated in the tourist area of Salou, just 1km from the beach and the town centre. Next to the beach there is an exclusive Beach Club for the guests of Caribe and Port Aventura Hotels. There are 7 pools and various restaurants. The hotel offers free transport and access to its guests. Universal Studio Port Aventura theme park is 1km from the complex. There are several shops, boutiques, cafés, bars, restaurants and nightclubs in the surrounding area. There is a public transport stop 500m away.

The comfortable rooms have air-conditioning in summer and heating in winter, bathroom with hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, Internet access, mini bar and safe. Standard rooms sleep up to 4 including children (bed sharing may be required, possibility of different types of standard rooms). There are themed rooms with a supplement which have been decorated as Woody Woodpecker¿s hideaway. Guests in 'Club Woody & Friends¿ rooms have special privileges including exclusive check-in area, children¿s activities with the Park mascots, private character breakfast, Port Aventura Express Premium, daily press, dressing gowns, and other benefits.
 Sports/Entertainment
Guests have free unlimited access to the Port Aventura Park. Also, they have free unlimited access to the Caribe Aquatic Park in low season, and 1 ticked per stay in high season. The complex has 2 outdoor swimming pools, snack bar, and sun terraces with sun beds and parasols. Sports enthusiasts try out the free fitness centre with fully equipped gym, 2 outdoor whirlpools, sauna and steam room. Prior a local charge, there are gym classes, tennis court and massage service available. Also, there is the Campo Aventura Mini Club offering a full range of services to entertain children from 4 to 12 years old. Daily and evening entertainment is offered in the hotel.
 Observations
The swimming pools are available from May to October.
