 Overall, it's a no frills place that took us by surprise! Reception opens from 9am-1pm and 4pm-8pm, if you arrive after 8, you'll get a non english speaking night guard/gardener (whose difficult to wake up... We arrived at 4am). But as a self catering option, can't argue, you get a bed, bathroom, livingroom/kitchen, a shared clean pool and the most informative receptionist ever! The place is only 20mins walk from the Maspalomas beach/dunes (watch out for the 70 year old nudists), 2mins from the Faro 2 shopping center, 8-10mins from Holiday World (a must watch is the parrot shows at 8pm...) and just 4euro's from the more populated (and lads holiday location) of Playa Del Ingles (just watch out after 8pm...you'll end up with 20 flyers walking 50meters...). A must go is the Market that opens every tuesday and saturday just another 10mins walk north from Holiday World. Another visit is the Yumbo Baazaar in Playa Del Ingles, great for tat shopping!If your catching a bus from and to the airport during normal hours 8am-8pm, take the number 66 and bus costs just 8 euro's for 2. Taxi is about 50 euro's....As I said, place is no frills, we just spent the majority on the beaches (note, bring at least sunfactor 20, the constant breeze is dangerous as it lures you into a false sense of security i.e. ooo nice and cool...but why are my shoulders red??!!!).
