 Very stylish hotel in an 'interesting' part of the city. Helpfulness of the reception staff could not be faulted. Fabulous breakfasts!  Lighting in bathroom could be improved with light over handbasin mirror and no mirror dressing table that was suitable for makeup! No outside view from bedroom window only view of kitchen ducting.

Room Mate Oscar is situated in a building from the seventies which façade and interior has being totally renovated. It also has free wireless system and conference rooms.

Emplacement

This hotel is located in one of the brightest squares in the centre of Madrid. It is close to Gran Vía Street, between the streets of Fuencarral and Barquillo, in the heart of the Chueca district. It is just a few minutes' walk from the Prado, Thyssen Bornemisza and Reina Sofia museums and a short walk from the best restaurants in the city. Madrid Airport is approximately 20 km from the hotel.

From the airport: Take A2 Highway towards Madrid and the Avenida de America. Continue on the Avenida de America to the entrance to Paseo de la Castellana and then drive towards the south and Cibeles/ Atocha. In Cibeles Square take Gran Vía Street, which is the first turn-off on the right-hand side and continue for 500 m. Take a right turn onto Clavel Street, which leads to Plaza de Vazquez de Mella.
