 Great location in city centre with easy access to metro and 30 mins by underground from airport. Only ?2 from airport to hotel via underground.  Due to central locatio nand lack of air conditioning. In summer it must be extremely hot and noisy whilst inlate September it was simply very noisy. Madrid stays awake until 5 am with people shouting and laughing and cars honking their horns. Great for a night or 2 but it was really hard to sleep by the 3rd night.

 Situated well.  No help from the staff on where topark, I spent two hrs driving around the city with my wife looking for a place to park when the car park was less than 100 mts away. One of the staff did help after two hrs point out where to park.

 A good central location, at a competitive price  One of the rooms had no outward facing window, and no air conditioning. Breakfast was rather basic

The building was built in 1886 and completely renovated in 2002. There are a total of 175 guestrooms spread over 7 floors, of which 25 are singles and 150 doubles. Guests are offered a welcoming foyer with lifts, safes, a currency exchange desk and a reception which is manned around the clock. In addition, it has a TV room, a café, a cosy bar, a pub and an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant. Room and laundry services are at guests' disposal and there is also a doctor on call.
