An excellent choice. The breakfast was the best we sampled in Spain. We discovered too late that there is a shuttle service to the airport.
 

This city hotel was renovated in 2007 and offers 146 rooms spread over 5 floors. It has air conditioning and a lobby with 24-hour check-in and lift access. Facilities include a café, bar, dining room and Internet access. Guests may also take advantage of the laundry service for an additional charge. Parking facilities are also available for guests arriving by car (subject to fees).

  Situated in Madrid city centre, next to Plaza Mayor, the hotel enjoys a magnificent location close to historical monuments and places of interest. Puerta del Sol, the Royal Palace and Atocha Station are all close by. A variety of bars can be found in the vicinity. The hotel can be easily reached on the M-30 motorway. Toldeo underground station can be found in the immediate vicinity, as can the cathedral and El Rastro. Mendez Bus Station is about 4 km away and Barajas Airport is 20 km away.

To reach the hotel, take the M-30 motorway and exit at Glorieta de Piramides.
