When checking in at night, refused use of iron ironing board, management insisted that the room maid must do all ironing (who of course is already offduty). Not adequate for a business hotel. Third night, no air con at all, had to open the windows and endure the noise of the drunks going home at 2, 3, 4 and 5 am. makes contending with Jet Lag rather hard. Close to Puerta Del Sol, all attrations of Centro distrit, walking distane to Salamana distrit and Paseo del Prado.

the room has been quiet, the most important criteria for me due to the fact that the electricity is on when you are in the room, i.e. is off when you are out, the room was hot and ot took time to cool it down before you went to bed

Fantastcally central, yet room quiet, newly refurbished & comfortable. Aircon worked well. Staff at check-in & departure were very friendly and helpful. Didn't use other facilities except cafe which was fine. Very reasonable price indeed. Would 100% use hotel again & will do so! Cafe fractionally more expensive than neighbouring bars All big art galleries (Prado, Sofia, Thyssen, Belles Artes - atually 50 metres away!) within 20 mins, or even less, easy walk. Parque del Oeste 30 minutes, Retiro 15. Airport a 50 mins by Metro. Big shop (Corte Ingles) 5 mins. Stupendous hoie of bars and restaurants within a kilometer!
