  Although this hotel is clearly old, and room facilities are not up to modern standards,it has it's own charm, with helpful and friendly staff. The restraunt offered a good selection of food. We were half board and enjoyed breakfast and evening meal, this is excellent, considering the price and the fact it is a rolling buffet. The location of Hotel Medano is second to none in the whole of Tenerife. there are rumours that local authorities are trying to close this hotel down. This would be tragic as it is a unique establishment and should be protectected as the oldest surviving hotel in South Tenerife. The Hotel is multi cultural and age group. Built in the form of a large ship, the hotel comprises a total of 91 rooms in addition to a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, a safe, a currency exchange facility, and lift access.
