Lugano is a city in the southeast of Switzerland, in the canton of Tecino. It is right on the border with Italy, and in fact the city is Italian-speaking and many of the customs and habits of the population are culturally Italian.
The city is set on the banks of Lake Lugano and is surrounded by lovely mountains, such as Brè, San Salvatore and Sighignola.
Lugano is one of Switzerland's financial and conference centres, and it has a very important business community. The warm climate gives the place a Mediterranean air, and Lugano offers all the advantages of a modern place with all the charm of a small city.
The old town, which is closed to traffic, houses a number of Lombard-style buildings, including the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. The interior contains a number of frescoes and some interesting Baroque furnishings. Here you can also visit some excellent museums and some lovely squares and parks. One of the finest is the Belvedere Garden.
Lugano, with its fantastic landscape, its mountains, hills, valleys and beautiful lake, is an enchanting location.
This attractive hotel enjoys a peaceful location and lies just a 200 m away from the lake. Links to the public transport network lie just a couple of minutes away (about 100 m).

In the centre of Lugano, guests will find restaurants, bars, a club, a railway station, the tourist centre, Via Nassa with its shops, and casinos.
By Road (from the north or south)
Motorway A2 exit Lugano sud (south) drive towards Lugano and the lake. At the lake turn right, after 200 metres you will see our hotel on both sides of the road.
By Air
For international arrivals, there are a choice of airports:
Milan Malpensa Airport, Terminal 1.
For the onward journey from Milano Malpensa Air Terminal 1, exit gate No. 4, parking No.19. Board the shuttle to the Lugano railway station (50 min journey). At the station, board bus No. 2 for Lugano Paradiso (ca. 5 min.), then you have a 100 m. walk to the hotel.
Zürich, Kloten: Many flights connect daily to this international hub.
Lugano-Agno: airport shuttle service, or take a taxi to the hotel (5 km).
By Train
By arrival at the train station Lugano, take the bus No. 2 to Lugano Paradiso (5 min.). The hotel is situated 100 m from the bus stop.
