The hotel and location were lovely. We were in a downstairs room - the room itself was great, nicely decorated, comfortable etc. The only issue was there was no view - in fact, the window faced onto a wall. Otherwise, a great stay.

The hotel location was excellent and the staff friendly and professional. However the rooms were far smaller than expected, with hardly any wardrobe space but curiously with large bathrooms. When I asked for a room change I was informed that the rooms on other floors were superior and we were in a standard room. There was no such distinction in the rack rate displayed in reception. The breakfast buffet was ample and included three varieties of olives but no fresh fruit or juice unless you wished to pay extra. I would not use the hotel again, but for a first time visit if you can accept the cramped rooms and are willing to get your vitamins elsewhere (buy some fruit to take into breakfast) then the location really is 'in the thick of it'.
