 the room was a little dated and very hot due to no air conditioning

 room very small and it didn't smell too good when we first went into room. Could n't get bbc2 on television. Shower very poorBar prices excellentHad to wait for breakfast very busy , breakfast was good.Pool area very good
 

Hotel description

The building in which this city hotel is housed was converted from an original Griffiths Cornmill. The hotel comprises a total of 129 en suite bedrooms, a conference room as well as a hairdressing salon. There are five dining options available: the Canaletto restaurant, the Flambe Steak Brasserie, the Peppermill Trattoria, the deli bar and the unique Cruiser restaurant. Facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception as well a safe, cloakroom, lift access, 4 bars and a pub. Guests may also make use of the Internet access. Room and laundry services are offered (both subject to fees). Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car.

Emplacement

This city centre hotel is within walking distance of the main high street, as well as all of the historic sights in Chester, such as the city walls, the cathedral and the amphitheatre. The River Dee and the Blue Planet Aquarium are also within easy walking distance. It is just a 10-minute drive from Chester Zoo, a 5-minute drive from the motorway and only 35 minutes from Liverpool Airport. Manchester Airport is some 71 km away.

From the major motorway to the property: Leave the M6 turning off at the M56. Turn off onto the M53. Leave the M53 at junction 12 onto the A56. Turn right at the roundabout (A56), going straight onto the next roundabout and then continuing onto the A56. Remain on the A56 (Hoole Road) for about 17 km before reaching the next roundabout and take the first exit left. Take the first left onto Sellar Street, followed by the 3rd Left onto Milton Street.

The hotel offers 5 different grades of rooms, all en suite and non-smoking: traditional standard rooms, larger business rooms, elegant premier rooms with balconies, relaxing club class rooms with king-size beds and the very special champagne suite. A hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio, tea/coffee making facilities, ironing set and Internet access feature in all the rooms. Rooms are centrally heated. Double beds come as standard where not stated.

On Monday evenings there is a jazz band in the public bar, whilst Friday and Saturday are \"Wine, Dine and Dance\" evenings. Guests may also participate in the Cruiser restaurant's fun casino evenings and the Queen Mary Crown cruises. The hotel also offers a swimming pool, gym, Jacuzzi, sauna and sun terrace, as well as water aerobics and aerobics. A nailbar, massage treatments and a beauty spa also feature. Guests also have the option of hiring bicycles.
 Observations
Guests are advised to make dinner bookings and appointments for beauty treatments prior to arrival. The hotel is completely non-smoking.
