The bed and pillows were comfortable. The carpet in our room was thread bare in several places. The floor in the bathroom had not been cleaned properly, there were still hairs on the floor. Check in and out took us 15 and 10 minutes. There was only 1 person in front of us on each occasion. This was all a bit disappointing after we had heard such good things and we were considering staying here for our wedding.

Emplacement

The hotel is conveniently located close to the city centre and train station of Derby, just 5 minutes from the A38 and A50. The hotel is also situated close to Alton Towers and the Peak District. Nottingham is about a half hour's drive away, and the hotel is only 30 minutes from East Midlands Airport.

From the south and west, leave the M6 at Junction 15 or the M1 at Junction 24, and take the A50 towards Derby. Leave at Junction 5, and follow the A516 to Derby. Follow the brown sign for this hotel, and exit the A516. Take the 1st exit at the roundabout. The hotel is situated on the left-hand side. From the north, leave the M1 at Junction 28 for the A38 to Derby. Stay on the A38 for about twenty minutes. Take the A516 for Uttoxeter. Follow the brown sign for this hotel, and exit the A516. The hotel is on the right-hand side.
