~quiet, good for bus route. /#/-~terrible food, no smoking in own room, no outside cover for smokers. /#/c~centre within walking distance./#/

very good value for money.We stayed at the front which was a little noisy at night with the traffic but on the whole it was a very good choice. It was just 10 mins walking distance to princes street.

The hotel for the price was very good they did upgrade us from a standard to superior the room was fairy small but nice apart from it lacked any drawers for clothes. The downside was the towels were not changed in the three days even though I tried putting them in the bath and out to indicate they needed changing,( I informed reception when we booked out) also the tea

It consists of a total of 52 rooms on 7 floors of which 1 is a suite and 3 are disability-friendly rooms. The splendid building was once a Victorian maternity clinic and has been carefully restored. Now it offers business travellers and holidaymakers alike excellent service and accommodation. The hotel has a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange desk, a lift and public Internet access. Further facilities include a friendly bar, a restaurant and laundry and room services. Please note the hotel is completely non-smoking.

  The world famous Princes Street, situated below Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and the resurgent 'Grassmarket' area, with excellent pubs, boutiques, shops and restaurants, are all just a few minutes' walk from this historic hotel.
