 Thoroughly enjoyed my short stay. Service could not be faulted and although I chose not have breakfast it was there for me. I was heading for the airport with two hours to spare there so just had breakfast while I was waiting. I have already recommended the hotel to friends.

 For a one star hotel the standard was way above expectations and excellent value for money. Travel to/from Edinburgh centyre via public transport very easy.
 

Hotel description

The welcoming hotel is a traditional Victorian building from the 19th century with a stunning façade. The newly refurbished hotel presents the guests with modern convenience and comfort whilst still retaining a warm feel, timeless style and a multitude of original period features. With 33 guestrooms, the hotel also features a 24-hour reception desk and meeting facilities. Those arriving by car may make use of the rear hotel car park for free and there is also a lively bar and a restaurant.

This hotel is located in the Corstophine Road area in the same neighbourhood as Murrayfield Rugby Stadium (around 2 minutes away). The city centre is a 5-minute drive from the hotel and Edinburgh International airport is around 10 minutes away. There is also direct access with the bus into the city centre.
