tI booked a twin room but was allocated a double. Was moved to another room which was also a double then was presented with a single bed to be put up in the room.

The luxurious city hotel was built in 1903 and renovated in 2005. It offers 251 rooms spread over 7 floors, including 21 suites. Facilities include 24-hour reception, concierge service, currency exchange service and parking facilities. All public areas offer WLAN Internet access. The hotel offers 2 excellent restaurants, 2 bars and a health club with a pool and an amazing view of Edinburgh Castle.

The luxury hotel lies in the heart of the city, at the west end of Princes Street. Just a stone's throw away there are various bars, restaurants, shops as well as historical sights are all waiting to be discovered. Excellent transport links can be found right outside the hotel. It is just a 10-minute walk to Waverly Station and the airport can be conveniently reached in around 20 minutes on public transport. Murrayfield stadium and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre are both around a 10-minute walk away.

From Edinburgh airport: Follow the A8 toward Edinburgh centre. From Glasgow or Glasgow Airport: Take the M8 eastbound towards Edinburgh and follow the signs to the centre. Waverly Station is about 1 km to the west of the hotel, around a 20-minute walk or a short taxi or bus ride away. Haymarket station is around 2 km to the east, around a 10-minute walk or a short taxi or bus ride away.
