 I have stayed a number of times in this hotel mainly because of the location, unfortunately breakfast becomes more disorganised every time I have stayed. The breakfast room as only one quarter full but it was still not possible to organise enough food to be placed out. Guests were constantly waiting for the hot buffet to be replenised and cutlery, glasses etc to be brought out.Tables were not cleared quickly enough. I do not eat in the evening because of the situation at breakfast. Very off putting - i am not sure if I will use the hotel again.

Hotel description

Opened in 2001, this hotel is spread over 7 floors and offers 129 Feng Shui rooms and 12 luxurious, New York style apartments. The air-conditioned building is equipped with a lobby with a currency exchange desk and a lift. The hotel additionally offers a bar and an AA award winning brasserie restaurant. There are also well-equipped leisure and parking facilities available.

Emplacement

This charming hotel is situated close to the M8 and only a few minutes' drive from the Scottish Exhibition & Conference Centre (SECC). Links to the public transport network lie about 400 m away and shopping venues, bars, restaurants, pubs and nightclubs are also only around 400 m from the hotel.

From Glasgow Airport follow M8 towards Glasgow city centre. Take junction 18 (city centre) leading onto Bothwell Street, take 3rd turning on right, Blythswood Street, cross over Waterloo Street and take the next right into Cadogan Street. Take the1st left into Douglas Street and continue to the T junction with Argyle Street. At this set of traffic lights, turn right into Argyle Street and follow road, staying in left hand lane, take the 1st turning on left onto Clyde St and continue down to the set of traffic lights. Turn left into Broomielaw and then take 1rst left into Washington Street. The hotel is at the top of the street on the right hand side. From Edinburgh follow M8 for Glasgow city centre. Take Junction 19 for S.E.C.C.and follow road, Clyde St, straight to the very bottom where it forms a junction with The Broomielaw. Turn left at this set of traffic lights and take the 1st left into Washington Street. Hotel is at the top of the street on the right hand side.
