This is a nice hotel with pleasant and helpful staff but the decoration just needs a little TLC to bring it up considerably. In particular the only down side comment I would make is that the rooms are a bit stuffy and airless and due to the 'Spanish' style windows in the room I stayed in on the ground floor which opened like doors so making the room insecure and there was no way of getting any fresh air at night without opening these large windows directly accessible to the exterior.

I believe I stayed in a worse hotel in the Sudan in the 1950s.

The hotel was built in 1991 and consists of 2 storeys with 211 rooms of which 176 are doubles and 4 are suites. The pleasant hotel lobby is fitted with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange desk, a conference room as well as a garage and car parking spaces. Dining options include a café, a bar and an à la carte restaurant with a separate non-smoking area. Furthermore there are room and laundry services as well as Internet access available for guests.
