Good location, the hotel could do with a bit of modernisation and our room wasn't that clean. The staff however were friendly and helpful

Hotel description

This hotel was built in 1898 and renovated in 2000. The building contains 138 rooms on 6 floors of which 122 are doubles, 14 are singles and 2 are suites. There is a pleasant lobby with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe and lifts. The hotel's facilities are superb and include a bar, a TV room, air-conditioned à la carte restaurant with high chairs for children available on request, conference rooms and Internet access. There are room and laundry services as well as medical assistance available.

This luxury hotel is steeped in tradition and located in the business district of Bloomsbury, near to Oxford Street and the West End. Numerous shops as well as restaurants, bars and nightclubs are easily reached on foot. Holborn underground station is in the immediate vicinity.

From A40(M) to A501, Marylebone road, take the slip road on the left before the underpass to Holborn. Travel down Gower st and Bloomsbury st A400. Turn left into New Oxford st onto Bloomsbury way. The hotel is on left after St. Georges Church. Car parking is available at the NCP on Museum st at an additional charge.
