I could not fault the room - which was beyond my expectations BUT what was in my expectations was getting to the room on the 10th floor) - which, because there was only 1 working lift for the whole of my stay (and probably is still broke), meant very long waits and having to use a service lift which is totally unnaceptable. Also, and of real concern was that, despite the hotel claiming to have safety deposit facilities, no such thing exists, and when I asked at the desk, I was told to hide my money between clothes in my suitcase!! The check-in/out takes forever, as a lot of the time there is only one person serving 20-30 people. Finally, this is the first 'top' hotel I have ever stayed in, that cannot cash a $100 travel cheque due to 'not enough change'!

Hotel description

This recently renovated full service hotel comprises 11 floors offering a total of 230 rooms of which 3 are suites and 10 have been adapted for use by disabled guests. Amongst the facilities within the air-conditioned city hotel count a lobby lounge, safety deposit boxes, a 24-hour reception desk, a restaurant and a library. Business guests may take advantage of the conference room as well as the Internet access. Room service is available on payment of an added fee and there is a garage for those arriving by car (charges apply).
